Comprehensive Traffic Modification of Hongling Road

The widening and upgrading project of the original New Hongling Road starting from Guangxian Road in the south covers a length of about 3.0 km, which extends northward to the old Hongling Road after crossing Lingshui Road, campuses of Dalian University of Technology and Dagong Road (the proposed construction site of Lingchuan Road). With the design speed of 50 km/h and planned red-line width of 50m, the upgraded Hongling Road will become an extremely important north-south secondary trunk road in the western part of Dalian City. The new north-south bridge located at the intersection of New Hongling Road and Lingshui Road covers 465m in length, including a bridge and the approaches. The bridge superstructure and substructure adopt the continuous steel-box girders and vase-pier pile cap foundation respectively. The bridge consisting of three joints is 232m long, with the span arrangement of 2 x 32m (first joint) + 32+40+32m (second joint) + 2 x 32m (third joint); and the main girder at the bridge centerline is 1.4m in height.

The project construction covers the bridge/road, pipe network of municipal infrastructure, lighting, transportation and greening works, with a total investment of about RMB 235 million.
