Widening (Phase I & II) and Extension (Phase III) of No. 3 Road at Changxing Island Habor Industrial Zone

No. 3 Road at Changxing Island Harbor Industrial Zone is the only east-west trunk road in the ship and equipment manufacturing area of Changxing Island Harbor Industrial Zone, with a total length of 13.2km from the western No. 3 Road to the eastern Lianluo Road in port area.

The east-west No. 3 Road at Changxing Island Harbor Industrial Zone is designed as an urban trunk road with the design speed of 60 km/h. The former construction of No. 3 Road (Phase I & II) involves the two-way 4 lanes, which is completed and opened to traffic in 2009 with a total length of 10.3km, and the road and driveway widths are 31m and 16m respectively. The current design aims to widen the existing driveway of No. 3 Road to 8 lanes with the red lines of 50m in width. Therefore, the new construction project of No. 3 Road (Phase III) aims to build up a road of two-way 8 lanes, with a total length of 3km and red lines of 50m in width.

The total investment is RMB 360 million.

The project is awarded the Third Prize of Excellent Design (Ministry of Education) in 2017.
